Where is the time going?

Claire showing off her SMILE!

Zane & his friend Payton after they got into some stamps they found..notice the arms too. He still had some left on his face at church on Sunday!!

Two more days and my baby will be 3 months old. It really hasn't felt like 3 months already. She is starting to do more things and is smiling alot, trying to roll over, cooing..and sleeping a little longer at night. Note the word "little" I decided to wait on her 2 month shots and the doctor, who wasn't my normal pediatrician didn't make me feel guilty at all..I have a feeling my regular Dr. would have. I feel good about my decision and will eventually get her immunized. Natalie has to get shots tomorrow for 6th grade..a new requirement . We have been enjoying the quiet around here since the kids have been back in but surprisingly I am not gettig a whole lot done..Oh well!

Happy Anniversary McCleves!

Today is my in-laws anniversary. I know they are probably out at some wonderful restraunt in Laguna or Newport right now. They are two really great people who both had really great kids, married and had more really great kids. They have been so generous to us and given us many opportunities to travel the world and learn new things. I know we are grateful for them and hope they have many more years together.

funny stuff kids say

So yesterday during church Zane is all over me as usual and was playing with a hotwheel. He puts the hotwheel up my skirt and I grab his hand through my skirt ( cause it DID look a little weird) and I say "I don't want your car up my skirt Zane" his reply, "but my hotwheel is getting a carwash!" pretty funny but I made his car leave none the less.

Happy Birhtday Debbie, plus 2 more posts..read on!

Yesterday was my sweet mother in laws birthday.. not many people can add that word in there right? I can! I have the best mother in law and am so lucky she is my husbands mother. She cares so much for her kids and is ALWAYS there for them. She came for Claire's blessing and she left her lake powell trip early and drove down to stay the night before Brian's surgery (a post down below) Brian says it was so she could watch the olympics but I know it was for him. She stayed with my kids in the morning and then we had Aubry come and stay the night with them. She is a great person and always so fun to be with especially shopping.. I think she loves it just as much as I do! Happy Birthday!!!!

kids in SCHOOL and my "buddy's back"

My cutie Melissa who now has her permit and has even driven on the freeway..watch out!
Natalie and Trenton off to school, they ride the bus together!
And my buddy Zane, after a special Dr.'s appt monitoring his growth.

So the kids started school on Thursday. Everything went good and they came home excited. Melissa will have some harder clases this year and probably lots more homework. Natalie entered the 6th grade and is considered Junior high. She's most excited to have a locker and learn a lock combination...something she worked on all weekend. Trenton is in 1st grade and has all the same kids in his class as last year as his school is so small, there is only 1 class per grade. He was excited to tell me about the new black girl named Victoria..he might have a crush already!! Now, for the buddy part. All summer Zane had his brother to pal around with and now he's gone Zane is my buddy again, following me everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE!! He's so cute so I don't mind much but I find myself answering "why?" all day! It's sad to see them all go off for another year but I have to admit, I enjoy the clean house and quiet.

POOR BABY

This was him before surgery. It was him ths time instead of me for a change.

This is him after surgery recovering at my parents house.

Brian had his ear surgery on Tues of this week. Except for having to wait at St. Joseph's in phoenix for 3 hours before they even took him back there, everything went well. ( I'm not complaining am I?) He didn't have any of the complications he had when he had the surgery 9 years ago. We stayed the night at my parents house so he could have some time to heal before going back up the hill to 7500ft. He's done well here too but still not himself. I am so glad it is over nad he might be able to hear better now. We'll have to wait and see.

Claire's first time swimming

I got Claire this swimsuit for 4th of July but changed my mind to have her wear it then. One, the water in Laguna was cold and two, the sun was bright and she couldn't wear sunblock. The other night while down in Gilbert, we went to the Val Vista Lakes clubhouse for FHE with my mom and Brian's family. The sun was just going down and the water was like a bathtub. She seemed to like it and look, with my little helper Natalie...I didn't even have to get wet! Needless to say she now has her 1st fever/cold..thanks to her other family members, namely Zane who has it and is always up in her face and all over her constantly. Brian was supposed to have ear surgery on Tues. (stapendectomy) where they take out the stapen bone in your ear and replace it with a pin. He had this about 8 years ago on his other ear..it is hereditary hearing loss. Anyways, he couldn't do it because he woke up @ 3 am with congestion, sneezing and headache. He is rescheduled for next tues so hopefully, his cold/flu will be gone by then. Let's hope so since the kids start school on Thurs.

Claire's Blessing

Today was an absolute amazing day. Now that family is all gone I have a few minutes to write about this day. It was so special to have so many family members make it up here to be a part of this wonderful day. Claire was so good and wore the dress I wore when I was blessed so long ago. I had some special and tender feelings, to realize that she was our last child and now I will look forward to attending the blessings of my grandchildren someday. My dad missed out on being in the circle surrounding Claire for her blessing as he was in the restroom..sorta like that one lady at the Academy Awards one year. I forget who it was.
Brian bore his testimony and spoke of when his best frined died 18 years ago in a car accident and an experience he had afterwards where he was going to a fireside and was so emotional on the way there and began to hum the song "Because I Have Been Given Much" and at the end of the fireside meeting, that was the closing song. He spoke of how that was such a great faithbuilder for him. The strangest thing is that he had the hymn book in his hand during testimony meeting today after Claire's blessing ( before bearing his testimony) and the book opened to that song, he said he closed it and Macey..our niece opened it after and it opened to that same song. He took that as a sign that he needed to get up and bear his testimony. The most amazing thing about this whole story is that the closing song of our meeting today was
" Because I Have Been Given Much" What a strong faith builder for us all. Brian, who I never see cry couldn't hold it back and cried during the whole song! (sweet) Needless to say, it is a day I will never forget.
