HOMECOMING

This past week was so busy with Melissa and all her stuff with homecoming. She is on student council too so she was at school for not only that but cheer also. She had to work on 2 floats and even had Brian involved as he drove his truck and trailer with all the sophomores on it. Melissa and Natalie's dad from Japan also came for a visit. Having not seen them for a LONG time, was a shock and they had a couple days of running around..that is when Melissa wasn't at some homecoming event. They spent the day shopping and going through his credit card fast and even went down to sedona and got their hair done. I am thankful for it all be to be over. Now I can rest..oh wait...I forgot I have 5 kids, there's no resting here!

Cookie Fun

Zane & Trenton getting out the dough

Natalie sold some cookie dough for fundraising and I came downstairs and saw Trenton creating some wonderful cookies so we all decided to join in. Brian was getting really creative with a rainbow, tv, and a dragon ball z guy. The kids really enjoyed it and Natalie decided to take some to her friends little sister in the neighborhood who broke her arm. What a sweet girl, always thinking of others.

MY Other Cheerleader Natalie.

This Saturday Natalie had her first game in Holbrook.( Such a hot and miserable place). I left Claire at home with Brian and the boys. He didn't mind because he could actually play his computer games when she was sleeping. (ha ha, she barely slept all day) He did take the kids to Barnes and Nobles and Dairy Queen. Natalie enjoyed cheering even though only 3 other girls showed up and the coach
wasn't even there. The asst. coach really needed my help and I even ended up holding the sign for football players to run through. I am sure glad I didn't bring Claire. I hid under an umbrella the whole time. Natalie did a great job and is an awesome cheerleader. She yells really loud and is a great example for the other younger girls on her squad. I am so proud of her and happy she is enjoying her 6th grade year. She'll be 12 years old
soon and will enter "young womens" in
church...watch out!!!

This weekend....

We had Melissa's first football game of the season and it was at the NAU dome. She had been working all week to be ready and I mean I have never been involved in a sport like Cheer that is EVERYDAY! She also had student council and community service to get done. Some days she was gone from 6:30-6:30 including Seminary. I am proud of her for her commitment, I only wish she could be around for the dishes once in awhile!
Check out her blog on the side...
