Murder Mystery

This weekend we attended a 1957 high school reunion murder mystery. It was a lot of fun and finding the costumes was fun too. I found a shirt and vest at goodwill for Brian and got some 50's glasses downtown. His character was a mystery writer so he couln't go in the "greaser" get up. We enjoyed the evening with about 10 other couples. My feet were killing me by the end of the night but it was so fun so it was worth it. I have been working on getting signs to people that want them for Prop 102...something I feel so strongly about and somethng we have been counseled to do directly from above. Here is a picture of Brian and I in front of our sign in our yard, that fortunately hasn't been stolen yet. I replaced almost everyone's stolen signs in Boulder Point. If I had more signs..I'd find yards for them, so anyone with some..let me know.
Melissa has been very involved with this election and I am proud to see her not be afraid for what she stands for. Her friend Emily and her made shirts over the weekend and wore them to school on Mon. I expected to get a call from the school (most teachers are extremely liberal) but I never did. She did get pushed into the lockers by one black girl and she got lots of remarks and people yelling at her but on the other hand, she got lots of requests for t-shirts..so now she is starting her own little business!! Way to GO GIRL!!! I'm proud of you!

Our 3 day weekend

The kids had Monday off of school so we decided to head down to the valley and see Brians mom and my parents. We were going to leave friday night after Melissa's football game (they won 39 to 0) YEAH finally!!! The only problem was that her game didn't end till 10:30 and then we had to go pick up her backpack at school..which took an hour to find someone to open that part of the school. Oh the things we do for our ungrateful kids! We ended up going home and sleeping. We finally made it down to Phoenix on Saturday and saw my parents and then got together with some of Brian's family. They went to see "Forever Strong" the movie and some of us girls & kids went to the pottery painting store. It was fun to see all the cousins and have some "playtime". I'm ready for a real vacation though.....

My Baby is 4 months Old!

My Little Claire.... I see so much of Brian in her.
Claire and Zane....she's enjoying her new Bumbo seat.

Claire just turned 4 months old on the 29th and I am happy to see my little girl growing and reaching new milestones but my heart is sad knowing she will never be 4 months again, and before I know it, she will soon be like Melissa, getting ready to fly on her own. Since Claire is my last child I am really enjoying every moment. I am enjoying being a stay at home mom and picking her up when she cries and spending special moments with her. I love the way she smiles at me when I am nursing her like we are talking to eachother and the way she grabs my finger and holds on tight making my hand move to where she wants it to. I love her bald head and the translucent color of her skin showing every blood vessel on the surface. I love the way she coos and talks to herself when she wakes up in the morning and I am downstairs listening on the monitor. I love the way she lights up when one of her siblings come into the room. I love so many things about her and I am blessed to have her in our home and be her mother.
