happy birthday daylan

i have been a little pre occupied lately and forgot to post about cute little daylans birthday. he is my little nephew and turned 3 on tuesday. i am sorry i didn't post sooner. he is such a cutie but very shy like his big sister kaylea. when i see him he doesn't really talk to me even though i know he can. he loves his brother and sister and his parents so much. he is so lucky to be in such a loving family. i know he is super smart and has those curtis genes. he loves to snuggle with his mom and that's usually where i see him when we visit. he and zane play pretty good together and zane always asks when are we gonna go see them again. hopefully soon..happy late birthday daylan! sorry it's all in lower case, i have claire in my arms.

Finally on the rebound....

So I finally found a doctor that could figure out what was wrong with me. I went back to my family practice Dr. on Monday, she took one look at me and said I'm sending you to a dermatologist and she made a phone call, I went straight over there and after looking at me for 2 seconds she said this is MERSA. She took a culture and after 3 days it came back postitive but she started me on a special antibiotic on Mon. and it was so much better in just those 3 days. MERSA ia a very dangerous staff infection mostly caught in hospitals from a person that didn't wash their hands before touching you or dirty instruments. It can also be caught in the public but since I had a c-section on Thurs. and my infection was really bad by Sunday, I caught it in the hospital. I am now in talks with them to see what they are going to cover, as far as all my medical costs, etc. Now, whenever I go into a hospital I will have to start antibiotics and be "red tagged", I guess as high risk for infection. I can't tell you how awful this experience has been and poor Claire having had so many drugs in her first 2 weeks of life. She had a photo shoot yesterday by my friend Di and they turned out so cute. Natalie, of course was there to get some photography tips and watch and she got some good one's on her camera so this is some of them. that she took.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPENCER

Yesterday was Spencers 8th birthday. I didn't get a chance to post it on the right day but better late than never right? We just love Spencer. He is so many wonderful things but most of all a great example to his cousins, especially my 2 little boys. They always want to be around him and love to get together to play. I can't believe that Spencer is already 8 since he was a tiny baby when Audra set Brian and I up on our first date.He has grown up so fast and is quite the young man. He is always polite and actually can have a conversation with anyone. He's always got a cool story to tell and is always fun to be around. Happy Birthday Big Man!

HELP ...Lost camera!
With all the confusion around here lately, my camera has yet to be found since the day we brought Claire home..I feel so lost and am constantly asking everyone "have you seen my camera?" and no one seems to be as concerned as me. I feel strange in a way, like I have lost a constant companion, my tool for documenting life. I have a feeling that my little "photographer" might have taken it to school for the last day or taken it somewhere else and has amnesia. I keep trying in the kindest of ways to persuade her to fess up but still nothing. I have even bribed her that she can have any friend over to play if she can find it. So, there will be no more pics until I can find it or buy a new one which I sure hope it doesn't come to. Later.....
P.s. I am still suffering with a bad reaction the tape. I have another appt. today, my 5th one. The last cream they gave me seems to be helping but it looks like I have been severely burned. I can't wait for this to be over and just get on with life normally. (Is there such a thing?)

C-section complications
This week has been a nightmare. I started having a reaction from my c-section on my inscision that started to get inflamed and swollen. I called my Ob/Gyn..went in on Mon. and he didn't even know what to do..so he sends me to my family practioner, I go over there and she gives me a steroid shot and antihistamine for an allergic reaction to the steri strips on my inscision. 2 days later and it is moving up my stomach and down my legs and really really gross!!! Today I get up to the sound of Zane vomitting and Trenton TOO!! while I was nursing Claire! Thank goodness my mom came up yesterday but with her hip surgery a few months ago..she is struggling to help me. They did take off my tape and wrapped me in gauze, gave me antibiotics ( just another in top of the 5 I'm already taking!!) and a steroid cream....whew this has been another confirmation that my family is complete. But the awesome part is that I have a perfectly healthy new baby girl!

She's HERE!!!

Our sweet little girl has arrived. She came into the world on May 29 at 9:06 am and weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz. She was 18 inches long and PERFECT!!!! I was so worried that something would be wrong and I was so relieved when I heard her cry and I looked over at the table where she was being checked out and no one seemed worried or in a panic. She had an Apgar score of 8.9 which is pretty good. I had a harder time with this C-section than the others but I think it's just cause I'm older, and I was probably more nervous. I had some problems that night with hemorraging and my heart rate kept going below 45 beats per minute which set off an alarm evry 30 seconds..so I got NO sleep!!
But I am home now and everything is good..Claire is a good eater I seem to be her human pacifier..she likes to latch on and go right back to sleep. Natalie has been really helpful with getting diapers, feedings and burping but not so willing with the diapers!! We are so happy she's here and our family is complete!!
