Aren't they cute?

I think some Elk are really this big!

I really love this time of year. The snow is melting, the days are warmer and longer, and my tulips are coming up ! I love Spring. This year Easter was on Conference so we got to stay home in our jammies and enjoy our Easter at home watching general conference on T.V. There were some really inspiring talks but the main subject and special focus of the day was the resurrection of our savior Jesus Christ. The kids learned and understood more this year about the reason behind Easter and I am thankful that they don't just think it's about bunnies and candy. We did get a visit and the kids enjoyed our annual "mostly indoors" egg hunt. Trenton being the $10 grand prize finder with Natalie in 2nd with a whopping $5! Claire was a little in awe as she can't remember last years Easter and so she was ALL about the candy, actually inhaling it by the fist full ..foil and all. I got to enjoy a little get away to Sedona for my 40th birthday with my friend Tiana (the planner) and my good friend Natalie. We enjoyed shopping in Telaquepaque and a fabulous room at the Los Abrigados resort. We had a nice dinner at our favorite Wildflower Bakery and then a fun movie. The next morning we had scheduled spa treatments ( thanks again Tiana!) It was so nice to get a massage but they didn't have me booked for my pedicure so we later complained to the hotel Mgr. and got gift certificates to come back..guess I'll have to plan a weekend soon. Now I have a better attitude towards the Fabulous 40's! On my actual birthday, another good friend Dee Dee planned a lunch at Oreganos ( never go there with a large group..way too long of a wait) It was nice to be with friends that weren't able to go to Sedona. Then the rest of the day was Brian and I together. we shopped and saw a movie (my pick..The Bounty Hunter, not very good by the way) and we had a fabulous dinner at a new place that we have never been to in downtown Flagstaff called PASTO. It was delish! Thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes. It is fabulous to be 40 with all of you in my life!
