Melissa is going with Joe Novelli to Mormon prom. She looked so sweet and pretty. Joe is a friend she has known since the 4th grade. He's a nice kid and always very respectful and friendly. He showed up at the door with a dozen pink roses and didn't really know the protocol. It's funny to see these teens try to figure out what they are supposed to do. When I was taking pictures I told him to sit a certain way and he thought I was crazy. I think the picture turned out good. I helped Melissa get her hair and make up done, of course she wanted her eyes darker than I did but in the end I think she looked beautiful. We found this dress for a GREAT price and she had the shoes..since she wears a kids size 1 ordering online was not an option considering time and cost ... they are $70+..so we decided I'd make her a flower to go in her hair to tie in the shoes. It might be a little big but that's what she wanted. As I was doing her hair and we chatted about things it made me realize how fast she is growing up and how soon she'll be leaving the nest and going on her own. I really hope I will be able to handle it, knowing that our bond as mother and daughter is strong enough to withstand all. Melissa, I hope you have a fantastic night..be home by 12!
