Brian and I just celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary. We decided to keep it low key and return back to the place where we got married 10 years ago. But before we left we completed the Great Urban Race in Phoenix. Our friends did it last year and convinced us to do it. I was a little apprehensive as I am not the most athletic and so I thought Brian wasn't either but he id awesome and was at the front of our pack most of the time. We had 12 clues to figure out and then Tiana had her dad on the phone mapping out our locations. It was pretty crazy as our first clue took us 21 blocks to a park and we found out later that there was one closer! It was pretty funny. We enjoyed it and will probably do it again next year.
Now to our fun trip to San Diego....we left our kids with Brian's sister Carrie and her family and we headed to California. I found a lovely cottage apartment in Carlsbad. We got there pretty late and found a sushi place to eat at. It was pretty expensive and we only ordered 2 items! We went for a bike ride down to the beach the next morning and Brian was a complainer because he had the beach cruiser and I had the mountain bike. He was convinced we were going to be sore the next day. (We were fine) We went to the flower fields but there were no flowers yet and decided on a movie in Oceanside. Then a lovely walk on the pier. We spent the next day in La jolla where we got married 10 years ago. We went to the aquarium , the temple, and to the location of our reception ( which is now a steakhouse only open at night with the cheapest item around $50 so we passed on eating there and ate at Roy's instead) We got 30 minute massages at some chinese place at the mall. All in all we had such a nice time and enjoyed a great little get away. Thanks to everyone who helped out with our kids.

Sounds like so much fun! Maybe we'll have to do that race thing sometime then Tim can feel like he did the "Amazing Race." Glad San Diego was a blast! :)
You and Brian are so adventurous! I loved your pics.
so cute! Makes me a little bummed that the city I was sealed in is not near a beach. Oh well! Congrats!!!!!
